I had been looking forward to this morning's photography meet at Leone Park in Rogers Park, Chicago all week. However, Last night's weather forecasters predicted a cloudy day with temps in the 40s.
I woke up to the sound of rain but decided to go to Leone Park. Clouds prevailed with glimmers of light providing an opportunity for very unique landscape shots. I used the 16-35mm for this particular photo shoot.
I wanted to take a photo of wooden pylons close to the shore. With my settings at 2.0-3.5 seconds at f/8.0-11, IS0 100, I began capturing the image before me. By this time, the light rain was intermittent. Then, there was a break in the clouds. Although the sun was not visible, the light in the sky offered beautiful contrasts with the clouds.
